HANDLOOM SAREE 02112489

Rs. 5,500

A Pure Handloom Saree is a testament to India’s rich weaving heritage, showcasing traditional craftsmanship and timeless elegance. Handloom sarees are woven entirely by hand, without the use of power looms, ensuring that each piece is unique and of exceptional quality. These sarees are not just garments but pieces of art, often passed down through generations, embodying the labor and artistry of skilled weavers.

Key Features of Pure Handloom Saree

1. Fabric & Weaving Process

  • Handloom Fabric: The fabric of a handloom saree is made using traditional weaving techniques passed down over centuries. The loom is operated manually by skilled weavers who use foot pedals and hand movements to interlace threads. This process takes longer than machine weaving, but the result is a more durable and textured fabric.
  • Natural Fibers: Pure handloom sarees are typically made from natural fibers like silk, cotton, wool, and sometimes a mix of these. The choice of fiber greatly influences the texture, finish, and draping style of the saree. Cotton handlooms are cool and breathable, while silk handlooms are rich and lustrous.
  • Authenticity: Pure handloom sarees are made without the use of power looms or synthetic materials. This authenticity makes them highly valued among connoisseurs of traditional textiles.

2. Designs and Patterns

  • Intricate Weaves: One of the most unique aspects of a handloom saree is its intricate weaving. Whether it’s Brocade, Jamdhani, Khadi, or Ikat, the patterns are meticulously crafted, and no two sarees are exactly the same.
  • Traditional Motifs: Handloom sarees often feature traditional motifs such as paisleys, floral designs, geometric patterns, or even mythological themes. The patterns are woven into the fabric rather than printed, giving them a deeper richness and texture.
  • Borders & Pallus: The border (the side edges of the saree) and the pallu (the loose end of the saree) are often decorated with beautiful handwoven patterns. In some cases, the pallu might be entirely woven in a contrasting design, featuring ornate zari work or intricate embroidered motifs.
